Eight last-minute ideas to ensure your holiday sales are merry and bright.

The holidays can be stressful, but you better not cry, better not pout, we’re here for you. Grab a cup of cocoa, sprinkle some marshmallows on top, and make sure your business is ready for the holiday rush.

Analyze the results of your Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

Make notes of what worked and what didn’t to give you insights for the next holiday season.

Send out holiday cards to your customer base.

Maintaining relationships with your existing customers is crucial, and costs less than acquiring new ones. If you have a mailing list, use that to reach your base.

Thank your customers and employees.

You can also consider including holiday cards or holiday-themed notes with new orders. Slip one into the package before shipping, or train your cashiers to hand them directly to customers at checkout.  Send thank you cards or promotional items with your logo on them to remind your customers of your business.

Create a gift guide.

For retailers, a holiday gift guide is a great way to take advantage of the holiday season.  Gift guides remind customers that your business should be a holiday shopping destination. Put together a list of items and call your marketing agency. If you need a photographer or help creating the graphics, we’d love to help.  You’ll want to organize your gift guide so customers can navigate it easily. Consider grouping items by price, interest, or recipient.

Do an annual review.

Look back at your wins and losses in 2018. What methods and platforms got you the biggest return on investment (R.O.I.)? What have been some of your biggest marketing problems? How much time did you spend on your business’ marketing?

Consider a brand update.

Re-examine your overall marketing goals. Think about the message you want to send and who you want to receive it. Think about how much involvement you want to have and what your marketing budget should be.

If appropriate, make a change.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your current digital marketing efforts (or if you have a lackluster website), now’s the time to make a change. Focus on your business this holiday season, and let us focus on spreading the word and making you look good. It’s what we do. Give us a call anytime.
